Starting out: your first fights

You start with the Warrior in Slime Village, the one region open from the start. Every monster you defeat gives gold and drops materials, and sometimes equipment. Each level your hero gains gives an ability point, and the first tutorial asks you to spend one on VIT.

Early on: tutorial quests open the game

The tutorial global quests lead you through the game, each opening a new tab:

Opening up: new areas, regions and dungeons

Clearing an area enough times opens the next one in its region, as each area’s page says. The other regions open as the Cartographer in town levels up: Magicslime City at level 5, Spider Maze at level 10, Bat Cave at level 20, and so on (see Regions). Each region also has dungeons, which cost Portal Orbs to enter.

The regions, and the Cartographer level that opens each.

Growing: your guild and its heroes

Your heroes’ levels raise your guild level. The other five heroes join at set guild levels. Every guild level also gives points for the guild abilities.

The six heroes, and when each joins your guild.

Settling in: the town and the shop

Each town building opens at a guild level. Its levels cost town materials, and each one can research with Stone, Crystal and Leaf. The Shop sells materials and blessings for gold.

Gearing up: better equipment

As your equipment levels up it opens enchant and forge slots for scrolls and anvils, and talismans go in your utility slots.

Pushing on: challenges and the Super Dungeons

Challenges pit your heroes against bosses in raids and solo battles. The Mystic Arena in town opens the rest as it ranks up: handicapped battles at rank 1, the Super Dungeons at rank 2 and the Ultimate Trials at rank 3.

Starting over, stronger: rebirth and World Ascension

A rebirth resets one hero’s level, and more at higher tiers, for rebirth points that buy lasting upgrades. The first tier needs hero level 100. A World Ascension starts the whole world over for points that buy upgrades lasting through every ascension after. Its third tier’s runs are where relics come in.

All along, Epic Coins buy conveniences in the Epic Store, and Nitro speeds the game up.
