Privacy policy

GamePeek has no accounts and no sign-ups, and we don't sell or share data about you. Here's everything we do keep, and why.
Your theme
If you switch between light and dark mode, we remember your choice in a cookie called theme, kept for a year, so the next page loads in the right colours. It holds only
"light" or "dark". Until you pick, we follow your device's setting.
Reports you send
When you use "Report incorrect information", we keep:
- what you wrote, the page, and the detail you picked;
- the game version, if you gave one;
- a one-way fingerprint of your IP address, made with a secret key, so we can limit how many reports one person sends. We never store your IP address itself, and the fingerprint can't be turned back into it.
Reports are read by us to fix the wiki. They're never published or shared.
Games you suggest
When you suggest a game, we keep which game it was, when, and the same one-way fingerprint of your IP address, so each person gets one vote per game. We use the tally to choose which wikis to build next.
Analytics
With your consent, and only then, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets cookies and sends Google details such as the pages you view, your browser and your rough location. If you decline, it doesn't load at all. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
We remember your answer in a cookie called consent, kept for a year, so we don't
ask on every page. It holds only "granted" or "denied".
Server logs
Like any website, our servers briefly log requests (including IP addresses) to keep the site running and to stop abuse. These logs aren't used for anything else.
Your rights
Because we hold so little, there's little to ask for, but you can ask us about, or to delete, anything you've sent us. See our terms for how the site may be used.
