Choosing a bait
Your bait rolls the rarity of each fish. Every bait has its own odds for the six rarities, and a rod can only land the ones its level allows. Better bait makes rarer fish likelier. For a rod that can land every rarity, Rice brings Common fish 74% of the time and Pork Chop only 28%.

Rice is there from the start. The rest unlock as your Sushi Bar levels up, from Earthworms at level 2 to Pork Chop at level 55.
