Experience
Your aquarium gains experience three ways:
- 1 for each plankton a goldfish eats.
- 10 for each parent that isn’t a goldfish when you breed.
- 10 for each goldfish the aquarium gives you when it levels up (at levels 2, 3, 6 and 10).
Leveling up
Once your aquarium has enough experience, a level-up button lights up on your home screen. Your aquarium only levels up when you press it. Each level, up to 10, makes your aquarium bigger, gives you room for one more fish and one more decoration, and hands out the rewards in the table.
Plankton drifts in faster as your aquarium grows. A new one appears every:
- 6 seconds at levels 1 and 2.
- 3 seconds at levels 3 to 5.
- 2 seconds at levels 6 to 9.
- 1.5 seconds at level 10.
There are never more than 10 at a time.
At level 4 you can start trading fish, and place Mythic fish.
